I've always found Libertarians, well... "interesting". Some questions for you: You believe we need deregulation for Wall Street? I assume you don't send your kids to public schools? I assume that you will not accept any financial aid when they go to college? I assume that you will not accept any government subsidized school loans for your kids? When you retire, I assume you'll be giving back your social security checks? You'll also fund your own medical insurance when you retire and not draw on Medicare? If you answered no to all of those, you are a true Libertarian, and I hope that you have the personal wealth to cover all those expenses :)

And how exactly are your liberties being assaulted by the current adminstration? What, you have this dire need to trade mortgage backed CDO's and CDS's? You're pissed because you'll be taxed a little more so that some poor schmuck can go to the doctor? You want to keep the same energy policies that damage the environment, threaten our national security, and threaten the future growth of our economy? All the while competing nations like China are developing renewable strategies and making huge investments? These problems aren't gonna be solved by themselves...

As a staunch libertarian, I've never voted for a major party candidate in my life, but with the unchecked assault on my liberty that this White House and Congress are overseeing, it was the perfect storm for Scott Brown to get my vote.

I get the sense you are a Martha Coakley voter and I respect your opinion, but just as in software development, in politics, balance is a good thing.
