That's great Frank. I assume you're aware of the wealth redistribution policies of the previous administration? No? Of course not. Lets review. They funneled vast sums (literally 100's of billions of dollars) into the wealthiest people in this country and corporate subsidies. I assume you're familiar with all the no-bid, cost-plus contracts that were given out to giant multinational corporations to do work in Iraq and said corporations didn't even perform most of the work they were contracted to perform. The housing collapse and destroyed economy is all part of deregulating the markets so that the wealthy can do whatever they want and get away with it legally. Once again they've raped the middle and lower class. History always repeats itself. We never learn. I give the wealthy a lot of credit though. They've managed to brainwash the middle class into believing that they are being abused by excessive taxes and regulation.

John, my opinion is that the media, liberal or not, does not rubber stamp Obama's actions. IMO, they focus too much on the sensational parts of any bill or news item and at the expense of the entire macro picture. To be fair, I don't read NYTimes or any other particular news source unless it pops up in my Google News front page. I don't watch the network news (like CBS), but I do watch a fair amount of CNN and they definitely don't rubber stamp things.

Critical thinking on the financial crisis shouldn't focus solely on the negatives, which was the point of this particular blog.

What ever happened to critical thinking? What's the problem with the "Liberal" media questioning Obama's policies? Talk radio will by default push a particular agenda, but do you expect the main stream media to rubber stamp anything Obama does without question? There's already enough of that - don't you think?

I would expect the same kind of critical thinking when discussing software technologies; debating ideas based on merit and not taking sides based purely on us versus them. That is what I look for in a software engineering forum.
