I experienced what they called Polish fast food (guys name please again!) and had something that looked like pizza on a half loaf of soft bread, but it was much more tastier and satisfying.

It is called "zapiekanka" :)

It was really nice to meet you, Bill! Hope we'll meet one day in Warsaw.

The soup is probably żurek (if it was white/brown with sausage and egg) or barszcz (if it was red). The "sweet, hot, red and spicy wine" has a very special name of "hot/heated wine" (translated) ;). And finally, the pizza-like thing you ate at Kazimierz (jewish district) was zapiekanka. Glad you enjoyed your stay, so did I :). See you one day in Warsaw.

Sounded like a cool trip - the saltmines in Krakow are awsome; would love to go back and visit that sometime. The time I was there was during high school were the most fun was to ride the small elevator that you could get to shift with about 1 meter horizontally when jumping....the salt sculptures were cool too ;)

Developer’s Day time of the year

It looks like it’s the time of the year for Java Developer’s Day around the world. Guys at Poland just finished their developer’s day. The conference lasted for two days.
Billburke was kind enough to share the experience in his blog. ...
